Human-Elephant Conflict Solutions (HECSol) is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, incorporated in Botswana and dedicated to combating human elephant conflict.
Our Purpose
We empower local farmers by deploying sustainable green technology, such as early-warning systems to shield crops and preserve livelihoods without harm. By uniting innovative, low-impact deterrents with community wisdom, we ensure both families and elephants can flourish side-by-side in a resilient landscape.

Janet Maruza's farm/field is situated next to one of the actively used wildlife corridors in Chobe enclave. She is one of the first to sign up the program since its inception. Previously, she never had a successful harvest, as elephants raided her all the time, but with our project and tools, she has managed to harvest season after season. And she is one of the biggest advocates of the program
